Does your accountant advise you about your cash flow as well as your profitability?

Does he help you at crisis-times? Does he ring you back if he's not in when you call?

Does he like talking about your business and share your enthusiasm(and your problems)?

Does he help you with the tax authorities, and really look after your interests? Does he warn you of problems in advance?

Do you see your accountant as a trusted advisor, someone whose business judgment you trust?

Does your accountant appear to be successful in his own right? If not can he be well-placed to help you to be successful?

Far better to have our involvement at the inception of your business or career - IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY TO HAVE AN ACCOUNTANT ON YOUR TEAM - and the assurance of someone looking after your interests proactively thereafter.
